If you are going through a family crisis or are concerned about your family, you can get help, no matter how big the problem is. 

Where to get help

Below are some of the organizations and programmes that work to overcome and prevent communication problems between parents and children and behavioural problems in young people through support, information and counselling.

  • Programme Crise - Ado - Famille - Enfance (CAFE)
    Immediate and intensive intervention programme for families and young people in crisis. For more information, call your CSSS.
  • ÉDUCATION-COUP-DE-FIL
    Free, anonymous professional telephone consultation service for family members, including minors and their friends, to help them understand and overcome problems with school and parent-child relationships. Available Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m, from September to June.

    Telephone, referral and intervention service specialized in parent-child relationships. For parents only. Available 24/7.

  • Alateen
    Alateen is a support group for young people whose lives have been affected by the problem drinking of a family member or close friend.

  • Centre jeunesse de Montréal – Institut universitaire
    Provides psychosocial rehabilitation services to children and young people with a difficult upbringing, as well as support for parents.
